Visual Arts

Visual Arts

The grades who have started Visual Arts we have been exploring what it means to be an artist, what is art and the big ideas around creativity and creative thinking.

Many children have taken the plunge! They are taking risks and having a go at things they normally wouldn’t. We are even noticing the students applyingand exploring what they have discovered in Visual Arts in their own classroom… and even at home!

In Visual Arts at Melton Primary School… we challenge students thinking and encourage them to take the opportunity to learn within the Arts.

Meet Our Staff

We support our students in becoming positive citizens within their community.

Mr Ben Gallagher

Leading Teacher (ICT)

Known as the master builder among the staff at MPS, Mr G’s experience and knowledge is second to none! As a self-professed nerd Mr G loves spending his time investigating new Apps and robots. In his spare time, Mr G like to build upon his mad LEGO collection. When he isn’t on his computer or iPad, Mr G loves to kick-back and watch the Spurs out in action on the court or the Bombers donning the sash.
